AN EVALUATION OF THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN SUSTAINING DEMOCRACY IN NIGERIA 2007-2022

The major purpose of the study was to Evaluate  the Role of Women in Sustaining Democracy in Nigeria (2007-2021). The poll sampled 78 educated women who worked in the field of women’s development as well as those who visited the area as tourists. Seventy individuals were recruited for the study using a simple random sampling process, and ninety percent of the population was represented by the study’s four research subjects. To analyze the data, a structured questionnaire with 70 items and percentages were produced. The following are the study’s main findings. According to one study, women play a critical role in the establishment of charity organizations such as newborn homes for orphaned children, scholarship programs, and the development of health facilities. The government was determined to be the principal source of assistance in educating Nigerian women about their roles. 2. Women with advanced degrees are crucial in establishing charitable organizations and health care facilities, both of which are critical components of Nigeria’s democracy. Finally, it was suggested that the previously listed factors To improve women’s educational options, the federal government should speak out against the country’s trend toward early marriage and provide employment training for young women.
