IMPACT OF PETROLEUM INDUSTRY BILL ON NIGERIAN ECONOMY

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari signed the Petroleum Business Act (PIA) 2021 earlier this year, capping a 20-year campaign to modernize the country’s oil and gas industry. The purpose of the legislation was to improve the environment for the sector’s growth and to address the valid complaints of the communities most harmed by extractive industries.
