INSTALLATION OF 11KVA TRANSFORMER IN NIGERIA
Before executing the project, some necessary test was carried out to ensure the good performance of the transformer.
Also before mounting of the transformer we ensure that the area is well ventilated and free from explosive or corrosive gas or vapor.
Also we make sure that the correct KVA, frequency, line and voltage was used for the installation
XLPE cable which also means cross link polyethylene insulated aluminum conductor armored cable, was connected from the high tension to the transformer (primary side). The armored cable has earth around it, it is 35mm armored cable. Cable lug was also used to re-terminate the XLPE cable and one feet (1 ft) was removed and the essence of removal is to ensure that moisture is absorb from entering into the real conductor also not to charter the system. The XLPE cable were re-terminate with120mm cable lug.
To retain the line from loosing, loose the binding so to bring conductor from insulator. The insulator is called 11kv pin insulator. Also we used shackle insulator to insulate the low tension,theneed of retaining the line is to avoid short circuit.
Conductor was used to re-string the line and the machine used to re-string the high tension is called pull-lift. The reason of re-string is to avoid sagging because sagging can course short circuited.
