TEAM WORK AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN NIGERIA

Managers and workers tend to disdain the concept of collaboration in today’s society, which places so much emphasis on pride and personal accomplishment at work. As a result, management regards collaboration as less significant as a performance tool, contributing to the sector’s low performance and productivity. As a consequence, the study seeks to identify collaboration and organizational performance in oil and gas companies. The study’s objectives were to discover collaboration-related factors, evaluate if teamwork has positive or negative effects on people, and explore the impact of teamwork on organizational performance. This research study investigates the impact of collaboration on organizational effectiveness. Several factors of team performance were investigated, including team trust, recognition, and incentives. Employees were picked using a simple sampling method, whereas management was chosen using a deliberate selection strategy. A self-structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The research study used correlation techniques to evaluate the relationship between two variables, cooperation and organizational performance. Teamwork and other markers of team effectiveness have been found to be positively related to organizational performance. According to the study’s findings, teamwork has a significant beneficial impact on organizational effectiveness.
