THE PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECT OF KIDNAPPING ON VICTIMS IN NIGERIA

Kidnapping and abduction: A peek through the Psychology of the Coping Survivors is the topic of this research project. The researcher is attempting to analyze the victims of kidnapping and abduction on a general psychological level. Abduction and kidnapping are both crimes against the “person” of a human. It is said to have a significant impact on the victim’s whole demeanor.

Kidnapping and abduction put the victim’s life in grave danger and cause them and their families unending emotional suffering. Children and women are the most frequent victims of this crime, which is particularly terrible since it often leads to additional crimes. They are unable to understand the circumstances or defend themselves. This makes the study extremely difficult and sensitive since it exposes the victims to a variety of mental and physical ailments and has an impact on their general mental health. Many research on the issue have typically come to the conclusion that victims are negatively impacted for the rest of their lives.
